Two crews from Aylesbury attended a fire involving an external garden shed that had spread to a neighbouring property. On arrival, firefighters found the shed, fencing and side of the property well alight.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras, a hydrant and two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire and check for fire spread within the roof space.
The shed was completely destroyed by the fire. The affected property sustained damage to approximately 25% of its exterior, while a neighbouring property sustained minor damage affecting approximately 5% of the building.
Crews carried out extensive checks of the loft space and roof area to ensure there had been no heat transfer and remained at the scene to complete damping down operations and ensure the incident was fully extinguished.
