Two crews from West Ashland, along with one officer, attended an automatic fire alarm activation at a convenience store.

On arrival, crews carried out investigations and found the activation had been caused by a smoke cloak security system.

Firefighters worked with Thames Valley Police, who were also in attendance, to investigate the incident and ensure the premises were safe.

The incident was confirmed as a false alarm and was subsequently handed over to Thames Valley Police.

Crews remained at the scene to complete safety checks before returning to service.
