About this vacancy

The role of our Administrators is varied and the heart of the organisation. The team provides crucial administrative support to our Prevention and Protection teams, as well as being the first point of contact with members of the public and our partner organisations.  

The role will include:

  • Act as an initial point of contact for risk-based referrals, ensuring cases are processed and escalated in line with agreed procedures.
  • Stock control – i.e. ordering and collating stock for fire stations and community safety teams
  • Generating reports from the PRMS system and updating stakeholders when required.
  • General administrative tasks, many of which will be physical, email or telephone based. (The team handles approximately 800 calls per month.)
  • Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring visitor logbooks, issuing visitors badges and arranging collection from reception

  • Able to handle sensitive interactions with members of the public in a professional and empathetic manner

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience of working in an administrative role, ideally in the public sector
  • IT literate, and is competent using Microsoft packages
