One crew from Aylesbury, one crew from Rewley Road and a wildfire unit from Buckingham attended a grass fire measuring approximately 50m x 50m, which later spread to around 100m x 100m and threatened nearby farm buildings.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets, beaters, hay drags and a water shuttle operation to contain and extinguish the fire.
Crews made steady progress surrounding the fire before carrying out extensive damping down operations.
The fire was successfully brought under control and a re-inspection was carried out later that evening to ensure there were no remaining hotspots.
