One crew from Amersham, one crew from High Wycombe and one crew from Beaconsfield along with one officer attended a fire involving a large agricultural building measuring approximately 10m by 40m, which was also used for stabling, machinery storage and horse-related equipment.
Firefighters used three breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, two main jets, a thermal imaging camera and small gear to extinguish the fire and prevent further spread.
All horses were safely evacuated and were uninjured. Firefighters made steady progress containing the blaze before carrying out extensive damping down and turning over operations to extinguish hotspots and prevent re-ignition. A reinspection later identified two remaining hotspots, which crews continued to damp down and monitor.
