Our public consultation on the blueprint for how Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (BFRS) will work over the next five years closed on Sunday (13 October 2024), and we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to take part!
Over the 12-week consultation period our community, local partners, and staff, have all been invited to join us in shaping our fire and rescue service.
We’re pleased to share we have received more than 100 responses to our online questionnaire, which will be added to the consultation feedback received through focus groups, meetings, and direct messages, and used to help shape our new Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP).

Your responses and feedback are truly valued, we are beginning to analyse and consider all views to help shape our next five-year plan.”
Our CRMP sets out our strategy for the provision of fire and rescue services, across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, from April 2025 to March 2030.

What’s next?
A summary of all responses to the consultation will be reported to Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority (BMKFA) and fully considered before any final decisions are taken.
The CRMP, together with any changes recommended as a result of the outcomes of the consultation, will be presented back to BMKFA for final approval in December 2024.
