Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015
For the 2023-24 accounts, KPMG have been appointed as the auditors of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority by Public Sector Audit Appointments Limited. The audit is governed by the provisions of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and in compliance with the NAO Code of Audit Practice.
- From Wednesday 02 July 2024 to Monday 12 August 2024 inclusive (excluding weekends and public holidays) between 10am and 4.30pm, any person interested, on application to the Treasurer, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority, Brigade Headquarters, Stocklake, Aylesbury, HP20 1BD, may inspect and make copies of the above-named Authority’s accounts for the year ended 31 March 2024 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto.
- During this period, a local government elector and their representatives also have:

- The opportunity to question the Auditor about the accounts.
- The right to attend before the Appointed Auditor and make objections to the accounts or any items in them. Objections may relate to an item of account alleged to be contrary to law, sums which have not been brought into account or matters which could be brought to the attention of the Authority or the public. No objection to the accounts may be made unless the Auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objection and of the grounds on which it is made. Where an elector sends notice to the Auditor, he shall at the same time send a copy of the notice to the undersigned.
- The Appointed Auditor is Katie Henry, Engagement Director, KPMG LLP UK, One Snow Hill, Birmingham, B4 6GH. The audit will be conducted under the provisions of the Local Audit and Accountability Act and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015.
