Education Visits

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service aims to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest place in England in which to live, work and travel. In order to achieve this, the service delivers educational engagement visits.

We offer a range of education and prevention activities designed to help children and young people learn how to stay safe. Our school’s education programme is structured by age and educational need to ensure information is appropriate, engaging and accessible.

We offer a Service-Led Schools Education Package for Key Stage 2 pupils.

Schools are invited to attend at the start of each academic year and to make a booking via our online booking system. Sessions are delivered by our staff and include:

  • A classroom-based fire safety presentation
  • A supervised visual tour of a fire appliance
  • Pupils receive a workbook which includes:
  • Activities completed during the visit
  • Follow-up activities for teachers to use in school
  • Home learning activities to reinforce key safety messages

This programme supports learning around personal safety, risk awareness and community safety.

Home Educated Students
