We recognise that if the management of risk is not controlled effectively it can potentially lead to serious injury and breaches of legislation, as well as the potential for reputational damage. We also recognise that ensuring the safety of staff has been shown to have a positive impact on retaining staff.
Risk management involves understanding, analysing and addressing risk. We proactively monitor and review the performance of our well embedded safety management system in order to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, visitors and the communities we serve.
We record, monitor and analyse safety events to better understand and identify underlying causes which allows us to implement control measures to prevent a reoccurrence of a similar event.
