Services we charge for

Under the Statutory Instrument 2004 No 2305 and the Fire and Rescue Services (England) Order 2004, we have the discretion to deliver a number of specific services in addition to our emergency response and safety work. We are permitted to charge for these additional services.

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service currently provides and charges for the following additional services:

  • Appliance and crew: £305 + VAT per hour and part of an hour (charges to run from time of leaving station to time of return).
  • Effecting an entry: £305 + VAT per hour and part of an hour.
  • Copy of Incident Recording System report: £94.61 (zero-rated VAT).
  • Copy of Fire Investigation report: £331.72 (zero-rated VAT).
  • Loan of heavy duty salvage sheet: £114 + VAT.
  • Gas-tight suit replacement: £678.30 + VAT per suit.
  • Gas-tight suit decontamination recertification: £125 + VAT per suit.
  • Hose or standpipe key and bar: Not available for loan or hire.

Other special services (prices on application):

  • Non-emergency lift incidents: Minimum charge as per appliance and crew.
  • Removing dangerous structures: Minimum charge as per appliance and crew.
  • Loan or hire of equipment, operational personnel or premises: Only undertaken after written acceptance of an estimated cost.
  • Testing, repair and recharging of equipment other than that owned by the Fire Authority: Only undertaken after written acceptance of an estimated cost.
  • Provision or removal of water: Initial enquiry through your local water company, who will approach Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority on your behalf.
  • Rescue of animals: Only undertaken after written acceptance of an estimated cost.
  • Other special services not outlined above: Only undertaken after written acceptance of an estimated cost.
