Ali Quainton has received the Chairman’s Award for 2021

Councillor Lesley Clarke OBE presented Ali with the Award along with Councillor Keith McLean and CFO Jason Thelwell

Ali receiving chairman's award

It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce that Ali Quainton has received the Chairman’s Award for 2021. On Monday 7th February 2022 Councillor Lesley Clarke OBE, Councillor Keith McLean and I presented Ali with the Award.

In presenting her award the Chairman acknowledged Ali’s distinguished career in BFRS, ranging from the Control Room to Staff Development and now running an excellent Health and Safety Dept.

Ali is a role model for the Service with high standards and great values. She has a fantastic ability to work tirelessly across all levels of the organisation and has directly influenced a positive health and safety culture in BFRS, not least her influence in achieving COVID secure status throughout the Pandemic.

Ali was genuinely shocked at receiving the award and quick to acknowledge it was a team effort in securing the COVID secure status which stood up to numerous HSE spot audits.
