The unwavering commitment of our crews at Broughton and West Ashland Station Commander was celebrated in style this weekend (Saturday 20 June), as colleagues from both stations were recognised at the MK Inspiration Awards 2025 – taking home not one, but two honors.
These awards shine a spotlight on the innovative and community-focused work being carried out every day by firefighters and officers. From lifesaving interventions to public engagement initiatives, the teams have consistently gone above and beyond to keep their communities safe, resilient, and informed.

Adam Burch, Area Commander, who attended on the night said:
“It was an honour to attend the awards evening and see our teams recognised for their outstanding dedication. Winning two awards is a testament to their relentless commitment to protecting our communities and going above and beyond every single day.”
The recognition serves as a proud moment for all of us at BFRS and a reminder of the vital work carried out behind the scenes. Whether responding to emergencies, engaging with local residents, or implementing new training methods, the teams continue to lead with courage, professionalism, and determination.
These awards not only reflect past achievements, but also fuel the ongoing mission to deliver excellence in every aspect of our service. Thank you to everyone who nominated and voted for both of our winners.
