As a forward-thinking service we’ve embraced a diverse range of apprentices across different departments, from Firefighters to finance, ICT and more! These talented individuals have brought fresh perspectives, new ideas, and dedication to our teams.
Yesterday, the NFCC (National Fire Chiefs Council) held an Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony. The awards were open to all Fire Services across the country. We proudly put forward some of our awesome apprentices to recognise their outstanding achievements and contributions to our Service.
Let’s celebrate our remarkable nominees:
- Shelby Hubbard – Business Engagement apprentice
Was nominated and shortlisted for Non-OperationalApprentice of the Year, an excellent recognition of her contribution and progression within her apprenticeship.
- Sasha Weaver – Firefighter apprentice
Was shortlisted for Inclusion Champion Award and Operational Apprentice of the Year.
We are excited to share:
- Sasha received a Highly Commended award in the Inclusion Champion Award category.
- She was also awarded Runner-Up for Operational Apprentice of the Year, a significant achievement in a highly competitive national field of over 70 nominations.
