Closure of the Fire Brigade Society

Closure of the Fire Brigade Society

We are saddened to learn that The Fire Brigade Society, which has supported and celebrated the UK fire and rescue community for more than sixty years, will be closing in March 2026. The Society has played a valued role in preserving the history of our profession and fostering interest in fire and rescue services across the UK and beyond.

We were pleased to welcome members of the Society to Buckinghamshire last year, and we know many of our current and former colleagues have longstanding connections with them.

We thank The Fire Brigade Society for their decades of contribution to the fire and rescue community and for the interest they have shown in our service over the years.

Louise Harrison, Chief Fire Officer / Chief Executive
