Doug joined the Service in September 2023 as Head of Protection, Assurance and Development.
Before this he spent 21 years in Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, spending nine years on station, before moving into flexi-duty officer roles, culminating in the role of Head of Response and Resilience.
Doug currently chairs the Local Resilience Forum JESIP (Joint Emergency Service Interoperability Programme) Strategic Group and represents the region as JESIP lead within the NFCC. He is also one of the Services level four incident commanders.
