Bedroom fire

Prebendal Avenue, Aylesbury

Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury and two from Thame attended, along with an officer.

A first-floor bedroom within a two-storey house was well alight when they arrived.

The firefighters used:

Four sets of breathing apparatus
Two hose reel jets
A thermal imaging camera
A positive pressure ventilation fan

The bedroom was 100 per cent damaged by fire. The first-floor of the house was 100 per cent damaged by smoke. The ground floor was unaffected by smoke or fire.

One boy was treated for the effects of breathing in smoke. He was cared for by South Central Ambulance Service.
