Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe and one from Beaconsfield attended, along with two officers.

Smoke was issuing from a house when they arrived.

Firefighters rescued one woman from the first-floor of the house. They provided her with immediate emergency care and oxygen therapy, for the effects of breathing in smoke, before passing her into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

The fire was located in a ground-floor utility room.

The firefighters used:

  • Six sets of breathing apparatus
  • Three hose reel jets
  • A 13.5metre ladder
  • Breaking in equipment
