One appliance and crew from Broughton and three from West Ashland attended, along with an officer.
Smoke was issuing from a two-storey block of flats when they arrived.
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
- A thermal imaging camera
The fire was in the kitchen of a first-floor flat.
