Roof fire

High Street, Weedon

At the height of the fire there were three officers, and seven appliances and crews in attendance from:

Aylesbury
Bedfordshire
Buckingham
Maidenhead (Control Unit)
Broughton
West Ashlands

The firefighters used:

Four sets of breathing apparatus
Two hose reel jets
One main jet
A positive pressure ventilation fan
Small tools
A 10.5m ladder
Roof ladders
A thermal imaging camera

A fire from a wood burning stove had spread into the roof space of the building. The firefighters installed smoke alarms and carried out checks for hot spots throughout the night and into Monday morning.
