Two crews from Aylesbury, along with crews from Gerrards Cross, Amersham, High Wycombe and Beaconsfield, and a water carrier from Bracknell, attended a fire involving two agricultural barns. One barn measuring approximately 50m x 40m, containing farm machinery, equipment and gas cylinders. A second barn measuring approximately 20m x 20m, used for the storage of hay and farm machinery,
Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, three main jets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
Electricity supplies to the affected buildings were isolated by the network operator, while firefighters continued damping down operations using thermal imaging cameras to identify and extinguish remaining hotspots.
Following further reinspection’s, no hotspots were identified.
