Two appliances and crews from West Ashland and one from Broughton attended, along with an officer.
Smoke was issuing from a single-storey barn, containing around 100 tonnes of hay, when they arrived.
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- Two hose reel jets
- A Positive pressure ventilation fan
- Small gear
Around 30 tonnes of hay was affected by the fire.
