Four crews attended (three from West Ashland and one from Broughton), along with an officer.

Firefighters were called to a fire in a ground floor residential unit caused by a faulty extractor fan. Smoke was logging in the ground floor of the building. Thirteen people were evacuated from the building and assessed by South Central Ambulance Service.

Firefighters used:

  • Four sets of breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reels
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan
  • A short extension ladder

Thames Valley Police also attended.
