Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and a gas monitor to detect the presence of carbon monoxide.
They ventilated the building and disconnected the gas cooker before isolating the gas supply to the property.
One woman was evacuated from the property and provided immediate emergency care as a precaution following exposure to carbon monoxide, before passing her into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
