One crew from Gerrards cross and one crew from Slough attended.
One car was on its side when they arrived.
Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment and a small gear to release one man who was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
The road was closed while the emergency services worked at the scene.
