One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, two from High Wycombe and one from Gerrards Cross attended, along with an officer.
The firefighters provided immediate emergency care, and used hydraulic rescue equipment to release one woman, injured, who was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service
National Highways and Thames Valley Police also attended. The motorway was closed while the emergency services worked at the scene.
