Four crews from High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Langley and Rickmansworth, along with water carriers from West Ashland and Princes Risborough, a wildfire unit from Chesham and two officers, attended a field fire involving approximately 15 acres of cut straw.
Firefighters used four hose reel jets and beaters to contain and surround the fire.
Crews made steady progress tackling multiple hotspots, liaising with those on site to establish effective fire breaks and prevent further spread.
Firefighters remained on scene to carry out damping down operations and used thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots and reduce the risk of re‑ignition.
