Two crews from West Ashland, one crew from Newport Pagnell, one crew from Buckingham and one crew from Broughton, along with a wildfire unit from Buckingham, attended a field fire.
Firefighters used six hose reel jets, beaters and the wildfire unit to tackle and contain the fire, prevent further spread, and carry out extensive damping down and turning over operations.
Thermal imaging cameras were used throughout the incident to identify hotspots and monitor the surrounding area.
Firefighters carried out a number of reinspections before confirming the fire was fully extinguished.
A drone operated by Thames Valley Police also provided aerial observations to assist in assessing the extent of the fire and monitoring it’s spread.
