Three fire appliances, three water carriers, and two officers, were in attendance at the height of the fire.
The fire appliances attending were from:
- Beaconsfield
- High Wycombe
The water carriers attending were from:
- Gerrards Cross
- Bracknell
- Wheatley
A large area of refuse, around 20 metres by 50 metres, was well alight when they arrived.
The firefighters used two main jets and established two large dams. Water carriers established a water shuttle, and on-site machinery was used to create fire breaks and relocate refuse.
The incident response was scaled back at around 2pm (27 June 2024), although firefighters are expected to remain at the scene over-night.
