One appliance and crew from Gerrards Cross, one from Langley and two from Slough attended, along with two officers.

A fire on the grass verge of the motorway had spread to affect a field. The fire generated multiple calls to Thames Valley Fire Control Service.

The firefighters used:

  • Six water backpacks
  • Beaters
  • Two hose reel jets

Around 300 metres by 20 metres of standing crop was affected by the fire.

One lane of the motorway was closed while they worked at the scene.

National Highways also attended.

M25 Northbound, between junction 16 (Denham Interchange) and Junction 17 (Maple Cross)
