The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and gauntlets when entering the property.
A Detection Inspection Monitoring unit (DIM) and a DIM officer also attended the scene to test the substance.
There was a cordon put in place.
The incident was left in the hands of Thames Valley Police.
