Two crews (Aylesbury, Amersham) alongside an animal rescue unit and an officer attended.
Firefighters responded to a call involving a four-year-old mare that had become trapped in a gate. A veterinarian was also in attendance and administered sedation to keep the horse calm and safe during the rescue. Fire crews then used hydraulic cutting equipment to carefully release the animal. The horse was freed without injury.
