One crew from West Ashland and one from Broughton attended.
A small fire was located on a hob in a residential building.
The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The property was approximately 10 percent damaged by fire and approximately 30 percent damaged by smoke.
They also carried out a Home Fire Safety Visit.
