One crew from Broughton, two crews from West Ashland, and a water carrier from West Ashland attended a small kitchen fire.
Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire, which was contained within the kitchen. A Positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the property, and crews carried out checks to ensure the flat was safe.
Approximately five per cent of the property was damaged by fire, with around 90 per cent affected by smoke damage.
