Six crews are currently in attendance at a large field fire in the Penn Bottom area of Penn involving approximately three hectares of grass, trees and hedgerow.
One crew from Beaconsfield, one from High Wycombe, one from Amersham, one from Gerrards Cross and two crews from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene, supported by three officers.
Firefighters are using two hose reel jets and beaters to tackle the fire. Crews are expected to remain on scene for some time while firefighting operations continue.
A road closure is in place and members of the public are asked to avoid the area while firefighters carry out operations.

The incident is now under control and crews are carrying out damping down operations and checking for hotspots.
At the height of the incident, eight crews were in attendance at the field fire in Penn Bottom, including crews from Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Amersham and Gerrards Cross, alongside four crews from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, supported by officers.
The fire involved approximately three hectares of grass, trees and hedgerow and spread to an area of adjacent woodland. One outbuilding was damaged by smoke and fire.

Attendance is being scaled back, although a firefighting presence will remain at the scene while operations continue.
A road closure remains in place and members of the public are asked to continue avoiding the area.
