Two crews from Aylesbury along with an officer attended a fire involving a large muck heap measuring approximately 10 metres by 20 metres.
Firefighters used three hose reel jets and one main jet to extinguish the fire.
A large smoke plume affected nearby roads and firefighters liaised with Thames Valley Police, who implemented road closures to maintain public safety while crews dealt with the incident.
Crews also carried out extensive damping down and turning over operations to prevent re-ignition.
