One crew from Newport Pagnell attended reports of a large vehicle fire.
On arrival, crews found that a small fire caused by overheated brakes had already been extinguished before the arrival of the fire service.
Firefighters used one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to cool the affected area and monitor temperatures.
Once temperatures had returned to normal, the incident was left in the care of National Highways, who arranged recovery of the vehicle.
