Two crews from High Wycombe, one crew from Maidenhead and one crew from Beaconsfield, along with two officers, attended a fire involving the roofs of two neighbouring three-storey domestic properties.
Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two main jets, a thermal imaging camera and a short extension ladder to tackle the fire.
Crews carried out extensive cutting away, damping down and thermal imaging checks to locate and extinguish hidden pockets of fire.
Firefighters later returned to carry out a precautionary reinspection of the loft space, where temperatures were found to be normal and no hotspots were identified. The properties were secured and no further reinspections were required.
