Five crews attended (two from Aylesbury, one from High Wycombe, Marlow, Thame), along with two officers. One crew from Beaconsfield attended at 14:20, releasing earlier crews and checking for hotspots.

Firefighters were called to a fire in the roof space of a two-storey domestic property. Firefighters isolated the electricity to the property.

The roof was 100% involved in fire, the first-floor was 100% affected by smoke and water, the ground floor was approximately 70% affected by water. Firefighters remained on scene dampening down and turning over the affected areas.

The A4010 (Wycombe Road) was closed in both directions. Thames Valley Police attended and assisted with traffic management.

Firefighters used:

  • Four sets of breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reel jets
  • Two main jets
  • 10.5m ladder
  • Aerial appliance (from Rewley Road)
  • Water carrier (from Princes Risborough)
  • Incident Command Unit (from Maidenhead)
  • A thermal imaging camera.

Thames Water also attended.
