Four crews attended, along with an officer. The crews were from Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, High Wycombe and Bracknell.
Smoke was issuing on arrival from a skip that was alight. The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one main jet. A two lane road closure was put in place.
The incident was left in the hands of National Highways.
