One crew from Beaconsfield, one from High Wycombe and one from Gerrards Cross attended.
The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera. A road closure was put in place in the hard shoulder and lane 1 of the motorway.
The National Highways also attended the scene.
