Two crews from Aylesbury, one crew from Buckingham and one crew from Bicester, along with a turntable ladder from West Ashland and two officers, attended a fire involving two vehicles which was well alight on arrival, with the fire spreading to a block of two garages and the external areas of two detached properties.
Firefighters used five sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one main jet, two CO₂ extinguishers, a thermal imaging camera and a turntable ladder to extinguish the fire.
Crews worked with gas and electricity providers after utility services were affected by the incident. A 25-metre safety cordon was established.
Firefighters carried out a series of re-inspections over the following 24 hours, using thermal imaging cameras to monitor the affected vehicles and properties for signs of remaining heat. Temperature readings continued to reduce and no hotspots were identified.
