About this vacancy

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Managing the development, maintenance and operation of the Service’s Asset Management System. The system enables the recording and monitoring of all service assets
  • Overseeing the management of service assets
  • Planning and forecasting equipment requirements
  • Directing and prioritising the tasks of the Asset Management Team
  • Collaborating with the wider Technical Team to ensure the provision of all necessary equipment for future needs

We are looking for someone with:

  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Capable of working confidently both as part of a team and independently, while engaging with others in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • A flexible approach to working
  • An active awareness of the environment to promote safe and effective working in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

Qualifications and training:

  • Degree level or equivalent work experience
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Full valid UK Driving Licence
  • First Aid Training
  • Counterbalance Lift Truck (Forklift) operator (or willingness to achieve)

 Experience:

  • Good knowledge of procurement and contract legislation
  • Knowledge of equipment testing regimes
  • Knowledge of fire service operational assets
  • Managing people including evidence of team working, empowerment and performance management
  • Negotiating and influencing
  • Experience of data management
  • Assessing value for money and budget management
  • Experience of using an asset management system
  • £43,182 – £44, 262 per annum
  • Full time
  • Permanent contract
  • 37-hour week
