As a Fire Safety Inspecting Officer, you will help protect people, property and communities by regulating a diverse range of non-domestic premises and higher-risk residential buildings. You will undertake risk-based fire safety audits, provide specialist fire safety advice, respond to statutory consultations and, where necessary, use proportionate enforcement to secure compliance with fire safety legislation.

You will be able to build positive relationships with businesses and partner agencies while making confident, evidence-based decisions in your role as an enforcing officer.

Qualification and experience required:
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service serves a population of more than 800,000 in the Southeast of England. Around 400 firefighters operate from 17 fire stations from the outskirts of London to the South Midlands. We employ around 100 specialist support staff, from ICT to fire prevention.
