They succeed Councillor Simon Rouse, who steps down after serving three years as Chairman and Councillor Keith McLean as Vice Chairman. During his tenure, Councillor Rouse helped guide the Authority through a period of significant development and improvement. The Service recently received positive recognition from His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS), reflecting the progress made under his leadership.

Chief Fire Officer Louise Harrison said:

“On behalf of the Service, I would like to thank Councillor Simon Rouse for his contribution during his time as Chairman. His support for our people and commitment to public service played a valued part in our continued development.

I am also pleased to welcome Councillor Llew Monger as our new Chair and Councillor Tracey Bailey as Vice Chair. I look forward to working with them, and with all Members of the Authority, as we build on our progress and continue to serve the communities of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.”

As part of the Annual Meeting, the Authority also confirmed appointments to Lead Member roles as follows:

  • Service Delivery, Protection and Collaboration – Cllr Llew Monger (Buckinghamshire Council)

  • Finance and Assets, Information Security and IT – Cllr Niknam Hussain (Buckinghamshire Council)
  • Health and Safety and Corporate Risk – Cllr Robin Stuchbury (Buckinghamshire Council)
