The station operates in close coordination with On-Call stations, ensuring comprehensive coverage across a diverse area that includes urban, residential, rural and industrial zones and a substantial road network. Within Aylesbury’s service area is numerous historic and key sites such as the Prime Ministers country residence – Chequers, the world renown National Trust property Waddesdon Manor and Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
Community safety is a core focus, with firefighters actively engaging in initiatives to prevent fires, road traffic collisions, and other risks. The station works closely with partner agencies to deliver home and business safety checks, school visits, and community events, helping to keep Aylesbury and its surrounding areas safe.

Special Equipment
Aylesbury Fire Station is home to two Volvo Rescue pumps, a Rosenbauer On-Call appliance, a Command Unit and a EPU which doubles up as a Large Animal Rescue Unit alongside Environmental Protection via interchangeable stillages. Being equipped with state-of-art fire engines, advanced rescue equipment and resources enables crews to effectively handle a wide range of emergencies, from structural fires to road traffic accidents to large animal rescues.
Aylesbury Fire Station is also proudly the home to one of the Country’s 20 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams, a key national resource for responding to disruptive challenges and major emergencies.
This specialist rescue capability, based at the station since March 2009, enhances both local, regional and national resilience.
Drill Nights
Training for Aylesbury On-Call firefighters takes place every Monday at 6.30pm. These essential sessions help ensure our team stays highly skilled and ready for any emergency.
