Olney Fire Station

Olney has a proud history of a fire service in the town and has had firefighters serving the local community since 1878.  With such a proud history, Olney Station has maintained it’s traditional feel with memorabilia decorating the interior throughout.

Incident Area/Reach/Serving

Olney is located in the north of Buckinghamshire and routinely provides an emergency response to the surrounding rural area and also into Milton Keynes.  Located close to the county border, The Olney crew often responds to both Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Special Equipment

The station has two appliances: a Rescue Pump, which is crewed by a minimum of four firefighters, and an OSU (Operational Support Vehicle), which is crewed by a minimum of two firefighters.  The OSU can be deployed to provide specialist equipment to an incident that a standard fire appliance does not carry.

Drill Nights

Drill nights take place on a Tuesday evening at 19:30 where crew will be ensuring their skills and knowledge are up to date and they are ready to respond to emergencies.
