Waddesdon Fire Station

Previously based at Aylesbury Fire Station, Waddesdon’s six-wheel Volvo is effectively two vehicles in one – a regular fire engine called a water tender that can be crewed by up to seven firefighters, and a specialist appliance called a water tanker that can carry 9,000 litres of water – five times the capacity of a normal fire engine.

Drill Nights
Drill nights are held on Mondays, starting at 7pm.

The distinctive vehicle – red at the front and white at the back – weighs 26 tonnes with a full load of water. It has a “twin” at Bletchley Fire Station.

As well as attending emergency incidents in Waddesdon and the surrounding villages, the appliance is called in to support crews at incidents throughout Aylesbury Vale.
