Winslow Fire Station has a proud firefighting heritage dating back more than 150 years. Organised firefighting in the town began with the formation of the Winslow Volunteer Fire Brigade in 1869, following the establishment of an engine house in the mid-19th century. The brigade’s first purpose-built fire engine arrived in 1870, funded through community subscriptions, demonstrating the town’s long-standing commitment to protecting local residents and businesses.
