One appliance and crew from High Wycombe and one from Gerrards Cross attended.
The fire was located on the ground floor of a two-storey property.
The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service also attended.
