Fire affecting two flats

Past

Two appliances and crew from West Ashland, one from Broughton and one from Newport Pagnell attended, along with an officer.

A fire could be seen at the front of a two-storey block of flats, when they arrived. It was generating multiple calls to Thames Valley Fire Control Service.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan
  • Small gear
  • A short extension ladder
  • A thermal imaging camera

A ground-floor flat was around 50 per cent damaged by fire. The front aspect of a first-floor flat was also damaged by fire.

The gas provider and electricity provider attended to isolate the main supplies to the two flats.

Thames Valley Police also attended.
